Your hearing is part of how you experience life.

Hearing affects much more than conversations. It can influence how comfortably you participate at work, enjoy time with family, communicate with friends and experience everyday sounds.

At Sound Advice Hearing Solutions, we take the time to understand what you are experiencing before recommending a solution. Our goal is not simply to provide hearing technology, but to help you find an approach that fits naturally into your life.

Learn About Our Approach

Small changes in hearing can be easy to overlook.

Many people adapt to gradual hearing changes without realizing how much effort they are putting into listening. Consider an assessment if any of these situations sound familiar.

01

Frequently asking people to repeat themselves

Conversations may become harder to follow, especially when several people are speaking.

02

Increasing the volume

You may find yourself turning up the television, phone or other devices more than others prefer.

03

Difficulty in noisy places

Restaurants, family gatherings and busy environments may require extra concentration to understand speech.

04

Missing parts of conversations

You may hear that someone is speaking but struggle to clearly understand what they are saying.

05

Avoiding social situations

Listening difficulties can sometimes make social activities feel tiring or frustrating.

06

Ringing or buzzing sounds

Persistent tinnitus or other unusual sounds may be worth discussing with a hearing professional.

Patty Larouche, RHAP, BC-HIS

Patty graduated from the Hearing Aid Practitioners program at MacEwan University in 2000. She also completed her Audiometric Technician course, allowing her to perform hearing screenings for government employees.

Patty first entered the hearing care industry after witnessing the struggles her grandmother experienced with hearing loss.

That experience inspired Patty to dedicate her career to helping people reconnect with the voices, sounds and moments that matter most.

She understands firsthand how hearing loss can affect communication and everyday confidence. Her approach focuses on compassionate care, practical guidance and personalized hearing solutions.

“Helping people capture the moments and hear the voices they may have been missing.”

Questions about hearing care?

Here are a few common questions people ask before starting their hearing care journey.

If you frequently ask people to repeat themselves, have difficulty understanding speech in noisy environments, increase the volume of your devices, or notice ringing or buzzing, a hearing assessment may be worth considering.

Your appointment includes discussion about your hearing concerns and an evaluation of your hearing. Results can then be explained to you along with appropriate next steps.

Not necessarily. Hearing care begins with understanding your hearing and communication needs. If hearing technology could help, your options can be discussed based on your individual circumstances.

Hearing technology can require adjustments as you become accustomed to it and as your listening needs change. Follow-up care is an important part of the hearing journey.
